About Bled
Bled is a small town on the eastern shore of Lake Bled, in northwestern Slovenia. The island in the lake carries the Church of the Assumption and is reached by boat, not by road, so the car stops at a hotel, guesthouse, or street on the shore. Bled Castle stands on the cliff above the water. From Ljubljana Airport the usual drive is about 35 km and about 30 minutes, and it begins north of the city rather than in the centre. A lakeside hotel and a village house are different streets, so give the address.
